What to wear and bring:

Wear comfortable workout attire, bare feet. Fitted stretchy yoga or dance clothes are ideal as they allow you to monitor your posture easily. The key, however, is to be comfortable. Bring a bottle of water to keep hydrated. Hipscarves are fun to wear in class, however, I advise you put them on after the warm-up segment of class. For concentration purposes and for the sake of our bare feet in class I request you bring scarves without coins as they tend to be noisy and coins typically fall off and end up on the floor.


What to expect:

Class begins with a warm-up segment, we move on to technique and movement breakdown and drills. We end with a bit of choreography. In the drill segment we repeat our movement of the day many times as we want to build muscle memory.

Technique 1:

Students of all levels and styles welcome!
We will focus on technique that the new and experienced bellydancer can take in any direction, including:

  • posture
  • strength
  • flexibility
  • endurance
  • isolation
  • choreography

Technique 2:

Level 2 builds on material in level 1, and will work at a faster pace, asking more of your muscle control, strength, and endurance. Prerequisite: Demonstrate adequate knowledge of level 1 technique and vocabulary. If you are considering joining level 2, please contact me.
